DAV "Dual Active Ventilated" Rotor

+ Significant increase in cooling performance and anti-juddering

+ Unlike regular ventilated rotors, DAV's design actively intake the cooler air into the system

+ Larger hat portion makes sliding surfaces more durable.

Rotor's warp amount is proportional to the rate of rotor disc surface width (A) and

outer diameter of the hat (B).  Common rotor is usually small in B and big in A, and it is

easier to get warped at the outer most part of the rotor.  DAV rotor, on the other hand, is

designed so that the B is big and resulting to significantly reduce the amount of warp/gap

under same condition as the common rotor .

Any kind of rotor can cause juddering or overheating problem (no grab)

by repeated sports driving.  However, DAV design rotor has larger hat area

compare to common rotor, that reducesthe amount of massive heat

at sliding surface, and creates less chance of the juddering.

■ Cooling Performance Test (below)

This is the DAV cooling performance test result.  First test is conducted after the warm-up runs, apply hard braking from 150km/h (93mph) 8 times, then check the temperature immediately.  Second test is conducted continuing from the first test, check the temperature after the cooling runs for 400m at 80km/h (49mph).  This test clearly proves that DAV design is superior in both rotor side and caliper side.

Compare to common ventilated rotors in the today's market, DAV (Dual Active Ventilated)     design has superior cooling and anti-juddering performance.  Common ventilated design only allow air to go through inside the hat to the outside of the rotor, DAV rotor design does not only allow air to go through inside, but also from outside of the hat to significantly increase the cooling performance.
